Filtering with the Metrics Sections

The contents of the Metrics sections may be adjusted by use of filters which are displayed at the top of each section.  The filtering options are common across all sections, which allows a user to set the filters once and then move between sections as required.  The filters can be used in conjunction with each-other allowing Metrics to be displayed that is fine-tuned to the requirements.

Filtering by Channel / Stream

Located at the top of Metrics sections on the left-hand side.

Initially a single drop-down of all the channels that are active for the current workspace is displayed, with the default of 'All' selected. With the the filter set to the default, the Metrics information displayed is for all channels within the current workspace.


Filtering to a specific Channel

  1. Click on the Channel drop-down, causing the drop-down to expand, displaying the list of available channels.
  2. Locate and click on the required Channel from the list. This closes the drop-down with the required channel displayed and a secondary drop-down is shown displaying the default selection.

With the filter set to a specific Channel, the Metrics information displayed is for all Streams within the selected Channel.


Filtering to a specific Stream

  1. Click on the Stream drop-down, displayed to the right of the Channel filter located at the top-left of the Metrics section. This causes the drop-down to expand, displaying the list of available streams.
  2. Locate and click on the required Stream from the list. This closes the drop-down with the required Stream displayed.

With the filter set to a specific Stream, the Metrics information displayed is for the selected Stream only.



Filtering by User

Located at the top of Metrics sections on the right-hand side, to the left of the Date filter.

Note: This filter is not available within the Metrics Overview Section.

Initially a drop-down of all users that have access to the current workspace is displayed, with the default of 'All' selected. With the the filter set to the default, the Metrics information displayed is for all users within the current workspace.


Filtering to a specific User

  1. Click on the User drop-down, displayed to the left of the Date filter located at the top-right of the Metrics section. This causes the drop-down to expand, displaying the list of available users within the current workspace.
  2. Locate and click on the required User from the list. This closes the drop-down with the required User displayed.

With the filter set to a specific User, the Metrics information displayed is for the selected User only.



Filtering by Date

Located at the top of Metrics sections on the right-hand side.

Initially a drop-down of date range selection options is displayed, with the default of 'Last 7 days' selected. As expected, the Metrics information displayed is for the selected date range.


Filtering to a standard date range

  1. Click on the Date filter, which causes a panel to be displayed containing a drop-down and cancel / confirm buttons.
  2. Click on the Date drop-down, which causes the drop-down to expand, displaying the list of available date ranges.
  3. Locate and click on the required date range ( with the exception of Custom ) from the list. This closes the drop-down with the required date range displayed.
  4. Click on the Confirm button to activate the filter, close the pop-up panel and update the Metrics section display.

With the filter set, the Metrics information displayed is for the selected date range.

Note: The standard date ranges of Today & Yesterday, work in relation to the current date, whereas the date ranges that start with 'Last...' work in relation to the current date and time. 


Filtering to a custom date range

  1. Click on the Date filter, which causes a panel to be displayed containing a drop-down and cancel / confirm buttons.
  2. Click on the Date drop-down, which causes the drop-down to expand, displaying the list of available date ranges.
  3. Locate and click on the Custom option which is located at the top of the list.The pop-up is expanded displaying fields for date range display and also a calender.
  4. Click on the left date field to indicate that start point of the date range is to be updated.
  5. Navigate through the calender and click on the required start point of the date range.  The selected date is updated into the left field above the calender.
  6. Click on the right date field to indicate that end point of the date range is to be updated.
  7. Navigate through the calender and click on the required end point of the date range.  The selected date is updated into the right field above the calender
  8. Click on the Confirm button to activate the filter, close the pop-up panel and update the Metrics section display.

With the filter set, the Metrics information displayed is for the selected date range.
